Here are some
of the success stories that we had at NewLife.
These and many others make our job so much more rewarding
and enjoyable. |

A 43 year old patient that came to our clinic after 1 year of infertility was diagnosed with cervical stenosis, ovulation dysfunction and a borderline sperm count. The couple opted to try two cycles with oral medications, and a cycle of gonadotropins with intrauterine insemination. Due to the age of the patient it was recommended they consider IVF. The first cycle of IVF unfortunately ended with an early miscarriage during the first trimester, related to maternal age. After being away for a year, the couple returned ready to try IVF again. The couple had two attempts of IVF and conceived after a frozen embryo transfer. The patient is currently in her second trimester of pregnancy, which is going well. |

The patient is now 33 weeks pregnant with twins. |

A 40 year old patient came to our centre after having one pregnancy which resulted in a miscarriage the previous year; the couple has been unable to conceive since. The couple’s diagnosis was advanced maternal age, maternal hypothyroidism and a male factor problem in which the semen analysis showed a motility of only 18%. The couple opted to try treatment with gonadotropins and intrauterine insemination. The female patient also received treatment for her hypothyroidism. The couple conceived after their second treatment cycle and now have a healthy baby. |

A 38 year old patient came to us after a long fertility history at another clinic where she had conceived and delivered a healthy baby boy after three inseminations and five IVF cycles. After the birth of her son, she did four more unsuccessful IVF cycles with one ectopic pregnancy. At our clinic it became clear that this patient was not responding well to stimulation with gonadotropins, as she had tried three attempts at an IVF cycle with only one ending in a transfer. After much consideration, the patient decided to use her sister as an egg donor. The cycle was a success and she is currently pregnant with twins. |

This 25 year old patient came to our clinic after trying to conceive for three years. Her partner was diagnosed with severe oligospermia (very low sperm count). The couple opted to do IVF with ICSI. The eggs were retrieved without incident, however when the embryologist collected the semen sample, there was no sperm to be found. After providing samples over 6 hours, we were still unable to find a single sperm. Dr. Soliman performed an emergency TESA (a procedure where the sperm is extracted from the testicles) where a few normal-looking sperm were found and three of the eggs were fertilized. The patients recently delivered a healthy baby girl. |

A 32 year old patient with 5 years infertility
did IVF in the United States but failed to conceive. She was
diagnosed by Dr Soliman with Hyothalamic amenorrhea and was
treated with estrogen to sensitise her ovaries which were
unresponsive prior to stimulation and Intrauterine insemination.
She conceived from the first cycle and she is now 35 weeks
and awaiting the delivery. She was very happy to conceive
with minimal costs after spending thousands on IVF that was
not needed. |
